An Accomplished Outsider Artist and Performer
B. Manley Bates is a self-taught artist and has been painting and drawing for decades. He has completed drawings in pencil, charcoal, pastels, as well as oil and water color paintings. He has done silk screens, and lithographed prints from plates. The artist has also been an avid photographer his whole life.
B. Manley has produced, directed, and acted in experimental art films which have been screened in public exhibitions including, The Washington Project of the Arts. He’s sold art privately, and through public art exhibitions, including Artscapes in Baltimore. He has owned a creative marketing communications company in the Washington, DC area, providing creative art services to local corporations and associations. He has consulted many firms with enterprise information technology solutions. B. Manley holds an MBA in Management of Information Systems from Johns Hopkins University.
The newly created: Art of Appreciation Series Project, is an exciting, innovative venture launched by the artist which is quickly taking hold.
